Helena wanted to preserve the heirloom characteristics and vintage charm of 20th Century vintage aprons but give them a uniquely 21st Century fit and appeal. Helena combined her talents with Claire’s, a former model and fashion expert, and the two created vintage aprons that reflect the retro whimsy of the 1940s and 50s and meet the challenging needs of today’s woman. The Jessie Steele line is designed to make the woman who wears them look and feel good.
Jessie Steele fine hostess aprons have been sold in over 3000 stores, appeared on such hit television shows as Oprah and Desperate Housewives, and have been featured in numerous national magazines and newspapers.

Cheesecake Factory

Evelyn Overton created her Original Cheesecake recipe in the early 40s and opened a small cheesecake shop in Detroit in the late 40s. During the years of raising their children, David and Renee, she gave up her shop and moved her baking to her basement where she continued to supply cakes to several of the best local restaurants. It wasn’t until 1971, when Oscar and Evelyn Overton were in their early 50’s, that they decided to move their cheesecake business to Los Angeles. They opened a 700-square-foot store and called it “The Cheesecake Factory.” In 1978, their son David founded The Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills. The company now operates restaurants in 35 states.
